Fun stuff!

Hi family! I decided I wanted to use a different color.
I haven't updated in a week so I guess a lot has happened, but mostly we've just been ridiculously busy. This program is running us to death! We have class all day, and stuff in between classes, and stuff after classes, and stuff on our day off, and stuff on weekends--it's craziness! Still loving it though.
Last night me, Laura, Claire, Candace, Jay and eventually Kevin went to see Bourne Ultimatum. We saw it in English, which I guess was a cop-out, but we were all really excited for the comfortable feeling of going to see an American movie in a theater. And then, we got to the theater, and realized that it was not going to be the typical movie-going experience. The place was inside the Sony Center (picture 1!) near Potsdamer Platz, and apparently last night was the opening of the new Jodie Foster movie, so there was a red carpet and it was like a gala event. But even without that, the place itself was like nothing you've ever seen (at least, no movie theater you've ever seen!) The second picture is looking down the center hall that the different theaters were off of. All along it were little bars and places to sit, and it pretty much looked like a high-end night club. At the end of this hall was a huge bar where we all ordered cocktails for our movie, which came in your normal glasses, which we then took with us into the theater and had a toast to Jason Bourne. I got a screwdriver (but don't call it that here--it's a vodka and orange!) and Laura got a bourbon and coke. The tickets were like show tickets, they were for specific seats...and they were the most comfortable movie seats you've ever sat in. Third picture: our Bourne Ultimatum toast :-) Such a good time!
Today was our day off from classes, but we still had to go to the Kaethe Kollwitz museum at some point individually (we didn't go all of us as a group), so me, Laura, Kurt and Claire went at about 4 and then we ate some sushi. It was the BEST sushi I've ever had in my life. Not that I've really had very much sushi in my life, but the little bit of it I've had has been yummy, and this was the yummiest. I got vegetarian "Sesam und Spinat" which, you can probably figure out, is sesame and spinach. Yum-my. The place we went was adorable. It was right on Ku-damm, that really upscale street I told you about near our hotel from when we first got here. You walk into this quaint little tea shop that sells a billion types of tea and all kinds of teapots and the such, and you go up these tiny little stairs at the back and there's a bar and like, four tables and someone to serve you sushi! It was so cute. That last picture is me and Claire at the hidden little sushi bar.
Tonight's gonna be a low key night because I was out late last night, so I'll be around to chat on AIM if you want! Love you!
